ENTREPRENEURSHIP:

Founder and Promoter of PathShodh Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., a medical device research and development company incubated at the IISc, Bangalore. Established the company on a firm footing, as the founding CEO, while on sabbatical leave in 2105. Currently serving as the non-executive chairman of the board of directors, and actively involved in strategic planning. Driven by a social mission of making healthcare affordable and available to all, the company is built on a very strong foundation of innovative research conducted at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering, IISc. PathShodh has commercialized first of its kind point of care device (anuPathTM), capable of performing 5 blood tests (Hb, HbA1c, Serum Albumin, Glycated Albumin, Glucose) and 3 urine tests (Microalbuminuria, Creatinine, ACR) for multiple chronic diseases including diabetes, anemia and malnutrition, liver and kidney disease. This product is based on novel electrochemical biosensing technologies (nonenzymatic, non-antibody), protected through a number of international IPs.
